Stop the killing of seals - Video

Stop the killing of seals in Canada

In few weeks time the seal hunt will start all over again in Newfoundland. Last year The Ministry of Fisheries and Oceans exceeded their quota by 32,000 animals and their estimate of a "sustainable" hunt by more than 50,000.
The hunters, armed with clubs and other illegal weapons, beat to death the baby hooded and harp seals in front their mothers, who often die trying to save their pups. Male adults often are left to bleed to death after have their penises brutally removed to export to countries such as Japan where they are used as aphrodisiacs.
The most shocking evidence comes from 2001, when an international team of Veterinarians who witnessed the hunt, perfomed post-mortem examinations among some carcasses chosen randomly and proved that a 42% of those seals where skinned alive !!!
This is the largest mammal killing in the world and there is no excuse for such a massacre or for the torture of these beautiful living beings. It only gives Canada a bad name as a primitive nation profiting from the fur of baby seals.

Please, we urge you to stop allowing and supporting the killing of Canadian wildlife in such horrific way!

Rosie O’Donnell - Celebrity Detox

[In the picture: Kelli Carpenter-O'Donnell and
Rosie O'Donnell]

Rosie O'Donnell: Shocking Revelations in New Book

Rosie O’Donnell used to break her own limbs with either a baseball bat or a wooden hanger when she was a child.

This revelation, as well as many about her experiences on "The View" last year, is contained in a new book she’s written due shortly called “Celebrity Detox.”

This personal memory, so shocking, is almost thrown toward the end of what is better described as a long essay than a short memoir.

All the proceeds from “Celebrity Detox” are going to Rosie’s charity, by the way. So it’s not like she’s putting her most painful personal memories on sale for self-aggrandizement.

But reading this passage is heart-breaking. Rosie, who lost her mother at age 10, felt she couldn’t get attention or sympathy otherwise.

She broke her own bones, she recalls, “my hands and fingers usually. No one knew. It was a secret.” She used a Mets baseball bat she got on bat day or the hanger. Why? It was “proof I had some value, enough to be fixed.” She recalls that she was no longer sad about her mother’s death, but “distracted.”

Rosie also dangles another clue about her childhood in two sentences. “There were many benefits to having a cast. In the middle of the night, it was a weapon.”

Why she would need a weapon in the middle of the night is not addressed.

Most of “Celebrity Detox,” which a source supplied to me Tuesday, is about Rosie’s life — her mother, her kids, her life before and after "The View."

And a good part of it deals with her rocky relationship with Barbara Walters. O’Donnell chronicles the year she spent with Walters in some unsparing details.

And while there are substantial revelations of their constant warring, Rosie also concludes that she and Barbara are on better terms now.

But that’s not how it was while they were stuck together in front of cameras and an audience. She writes about her observations of Walters’ aging, her “tiredness,” she says, at age 77.

She recalls a shouting match backstage in which she called Walters a “liar” over and over for not defending her when Donald Trump came on the attack. She calls Trump a “gelatinous … slug.”

O’Donnell recalls several startling moments with Walters, who she says came to resent her quickly after Rosie joined "The View."

“During the commercial, people scream ‘I love you Rosie,’” O’Donnell writes. “And Barbara tells them in a schoolteacher tone, ‘It is impolite to say I love you to one person when there are four of us up here.’ Then a stony silence sets in.”

"Celebrity Detox" is a slim volume, be warned. A lot is left out. My reading of it is that O’Donnell wanted to make a more formal statement of what happened to her during this ignominious year. But it also contains her take on celebrity and fame and how they affected her family life.

“As I slipped back into celebrity land,” Rosie writes of her return to daytime TV, “the tasks multiplied a thousandfold, and the letters addressed to me but having nothing to do with the real me — the mother me, the married me, the friend me — the letters addressed to the celebrity me began to pour in again. … I had gone four years living alone and now my mailbox was overflowing and people were telling me I was fantastic, the funniest, the happiest, the brightest....

“How best to explain this? It is a shift that happens in the head and that very few celebrities will ever really speak about. … One begins to believe in the specialness, and a dangerous sense of entitlement takes over. … When celebrity addiction starts, you become impatient with, and even angry at necessary obstacles. You think could run a red light or two. And then you do.”

“Celebrity Detox” — a brave little book by a brave woman, I think. Bravo!

Storm worm spam spoofs YouTube

I've been receiving Emails that says stuff like :

Dude I know thats you, someone emailed me a link to the video. go look at it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iG9RLGJX9mY

OMG, what are you doing man. This video of you is all over the net. see for yourself... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78MmCPFJpQo

Since the link looks exactly like it's coming from youtube.com it can trick you to click on it. But when I moved my mouse over the link, it showed a different URL. Although in this example I didn't post the links that showed up in the Emails I received since I don't want anyone to go to that site even accidentally! I replaced them with http://no-links-here.com. If you move your mouse over the "youtube.com" links, you will see the fake link on the bottom of your browser on the far left.

Below is what I found about this Scam:
By Cara Garretson, Network World, 08/27/07

New spam trick rides on popularity of YouTube Web site

A spam blast released over the weekend invites recipients to see themselves in a YouTube video, but the included link directs them to a Web site that downloads a package of a dozen different pieces of malware.

According to Exploit Prevention Labs, the link in the spam message looks like a YouTube link, but is to a site that downloads the Q4Rollup package, an encrypted collection of keyloggers, spyware, rootkits and other malware.

Visitors to the site are directed to download software to view the video, at which point the malware is transferred to their PCs.

The storm worm, a Trojan horse that secretly infects PCs and turns them into members of a botnet that attacks other PCs, has been busy of late. First detected in January, the malware has been used in the last few weeks in a confirmation spam scam and has also been leveraged in blogs and Web message forums.

Robbie Williams - Come undone

Robbie Willams Live at Knebworth.
I truly enjoy watching this Video!
I am making myself a CD Music of him to listen in the car.

So unimpressed but so in awe
Such a saint but such a whore
So self aware so full of shit
So indecisive so adamant

I'm contemplating thinking about thinking
It's overrated just get another drink and
Watch me come undone

They're selling razor blades and mirrors in the street
(come undone)
I pray when I'm coming down you'll be asleep
(come undone)
If I ever hurt you your revenge will be so sweet
Because I'm scum, and I'm your son,
I come undone
I come undone

So rock and roll, so corporate suit
So damn ugly, so damn cute
So well-trained, so animal
So need your love, so fuck you all

I'm not scared of dying
I just don't want to
If I stopped lying I'd just disappoint you
I come undone

They're selling razor blades and mirrors in the street
(come undone)
I pray that when I'm coming down you'll be asleep
(come undone)
If I ever hurt you your revenge will be so sweet
Because I'm scum, and I'm your son,
I come undone

So write another ballad
Mix it on a Wednesday
Sell it on a Thursday
Buy a yacht by Saturday
It's a love song
A love song

Do another interview
Sing a bunch of lies
Tell about celebrities that I despise
And sing love songs
We sing love songs
So sincere

(come undone)
They're selling razor blades and mirrors in the street
(come undone)
I pray that when I'm coming down you'll be asleep
(come undone)
The young pretend you're in the clouds above the sea
I come undone, I am scum, love your son
You've gotta love your son
You've gotta love your son
Love your son, I am scum
I am scum
I am scum
I am scum
